{"id":1029,"date":"2014-02-02T22:07:40","date_gmt":"2014-02-02T15:07:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gordonandjudy.com\/?p=1029"},"modified":"2014-02-02T22:21:03","modified_gmt":"2014-02-02T15:21:03","slug":"phuket-golf-ouch-2214","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/gordonandjudy.com\/?p=1029","title":{"rendered":"Phuket Golf, Ouch!  2\/2\/14"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Judy has beach plans today.\u00a0 My plans are for a round of golf at the Blue Canyon Golf Club.\u00a0 I get picked up at 8:30 and driven to the course.\u00a0 The driver takes me in and gets me checked into the locker room.\u00a0 After I change shoes I head over the pro shop to set-up with clubs, a cart, and a caddie.\u00a0 They load me into a van and take me over to the Lakes Course.\u00a0 The tee box is crowded, so they move me up to the 5<sup>th<\/sup> hole where I join Frederick and Maxim, both from France.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.714285714; font-size: 1rem;\">The Lakes Course is an appropriate title.\u00a0 There is lots of water.\u00a0 I wasn\u2019t sure the dozen balls I brought were going to be enough.\u00a0 I made it, only losing 3.\u00a0 I planned on taking pictures, but my phone\/camera battery is dead.\u00a0 The course is really scenic, and my round is very up &amp; down.\u00a0 I have a birdie, but also several triple bogeys.\u00a0 One sand trap cost me 4 strokes.\u00a0 I just couldn\u2019t hit the ball hard enough to get it out.\u00a0 I\u2019m getting used to playing with a caddy.\u00a0 There will be an adjustment when I get back to the states and have to start taking care of my own clubs, and fixing divots in the fairway.\u00a0 Life will be rough, but I\u2019ll manage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.714285714;
