We\u2019re up really early, around 4:00 am.\u00a0 The taxi picks us up at 5:15.\u00a0 The hotel provided us a breakfast box since we were leaving before the regular breakfast is served.\u00a0 We arrive at the airport, get checked in, and eat our breakfast.\u00a0 The airport security was really quick and not nearly as thorough as we\u2019ve become accustomed to.\u00a0 I\u2019m not sure if I\u2019m glad, or I should be concerned about how lax it was.\u00a0 I guess I\u2019ll let the airport people run their own airport.<\/p>\n
The rest of the flight to Bangkok is quick and painless.\u00a0 We make the transition to our Beijing flight with a really long walk.\u00a0 This is a big airport.\u00a0 We\u2019re on a 747 to Beijing.\u00a0 Man, it\u2019s a big plane.\u00a0 The flight is about 4 \u00bd hours, and it as easy a flight as we\u2019ve had since we began our Asia adventure in July.\u00a0 Thai Airlines gets a recommendation from us. \u00a0Everything at the Beijing airport is smooth.\u00a0 We\u2019re home 45 minutes after we get off the plane.<\/span><\/p>\n We begin the tedious process of unpacking and washing 9 days worth of clothes.\u00a0 We\u2019ve heard about the fireworks during the Chinese New Year, and we\u2019re experiencing it tonight, while we unpack.
