We\u2019re able to sleep late after the big day yesterday for Judy and all her performances.\u00a0 She gets rolling late in the morning, and leaves around 11:30 to prepare for the 2:00 pm matinee.\u00a0 I kill a little more time and finally get away, arriving 20 minutes early.\u00a0 The audience fills the room by the time the show starts.\u00a0 It\u2019s another fun performance.\u00a0 There have been two students sharing the role of Annie.\u00a0 Today the lead role is played by an Australian student.\u00a0 Last night, it was played by an Indian student.\u00a0 The two performances definitely had a different flavor.<\/p>\n

After the show, there is a cast party with a cake and snacks.\u00a0 Lots of relief on the faces of the faculty is evident.\u00a0 The secondary principal is nice enough to stay with the students till it\u2019s over, and allow Judy to leave the cast party early.\u00a0 Shannon, Judy\u2019s faculty friend (and next year\u2019s Elementary Principal) has plans for Judy this evening.\u00a0 She takes her to a salon in Sanlitun for a pedicure and massage.\u00a0 While the \u201cgirls\u201d do their thing, I accompany her husband.\u00a0 We find our own massage location.<\/p>\n

Later we meet the wives at Homeplate BBQ.\u00a0 I decide to try the ribs!\u00a0 They\u2019re really good.\u00a0 As usual, ribs seem to end up everywhere on my face and body, but they were worth it.\u00a0 I can\u2019t remember the last time I felt this stuffed since I\u2019ve been in Beijing. <\/span><\/p>\n
