As we leave BISS, we\u2019re overtaken with hunger.\u00a0 Judy had talked several times about a local restaurant near BISS that had the best Chinese food she had tasted since we\u2019ve been in Beijing.\u00a0 We decide it\u2019s time to try it again.\u00a0 We walk down a narrow road, arriving at a building with no markings to indicate it\u2019s a restaurant.\u00a0 I would have walked right by it.\u00a0 We test the doors, and it\u2019s open.\u00a0 Walking in, there are several small rooms, and a few families are scattered around.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n We get a table, and start the ordering process, using the menu with pictures.\u00a0 We know what we want, but it\u2019s not so easy to find it in the menu.\u00a0 Judy places the order.\u00a0 We did have to call Lynn, a Chinese teacher Judy works with at BISS.\u00a0 We couldn\u2019t find where to order dumplings or \u201csteamed buns.\u201d\u00a0 Lynn talks in Chinese to the waiter over the phone.\u00a0 He tells her they come 5 to an order.\u00a0 We say we want 5, so of course we end up with 5 orders, or 25 total. Maybe we didn\u2019t quite get it right.<\/span><\/p>\n As is the custom, the food arrives, one dish at a time.\u00a0 Judy\u2019s right!\u00a0 It\u2019s really good.\u00a0 This is a small family-run establishment, and they really like their peppers.\u00a0 We have a green bean dish, a chicken dish, shredded potatoes, and steamed buns.\u00a0 We end up taking half of it home.\u00a0 It cost us 81rmb, about $14, and we\u2019re going to get one or two more meals out of it.<\/span><\/p>\n Back to the apartment, where I drop Judy off and head to the Marriott for my swim.\u00a0 I\u2019m trying not to miss a day, but it\u2019s tough when I\u2019m basically a lazy bum.\u00a0 I don\u2019t seem to be losing any weight, but I\u2019m physically feeling a little more \u201cfit.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0 Certainly, my back, which was an issue when we first came to Beijing is much better.<\/span><\/p>\n The entrance\/exit for the Sanyuanjiao train station. I use this station to cut under the Airport Express Highway, when I’m walking to the Marriott.<\/p><\/div>\n These are the shuttles from the station to the nearest main road, which happens to be near the Marriott.
