<\/p>\n We begin with the Hong Kong downtown route, seeing many of the city buildings and historical sites.\u00a0 Part of the tour is the cable car up to Victoria Peak.\u00a0 It\u2019s a steep ride with tremendous views of Hong Kong and Victoria Harbor.\u00a0 The top is fogged in with cloud cover, but we enjoy a meal at\u00a0<\/span>\u201cBubba Gump\u2019s\u201d at the peak.<\/span><\/p>\n Hong Kong Streets and the trolley system<\/p><\/div>\n Back at the bottom of the hill, we switch to another bus route taking us to the south side of Hong Kong Island and Stanley.\u00a0 After passing thru a tunnel, we find ourselves out of the city, and touring a coastline.\u00a0 The big attraction is Stanley, a beach, market, and shopping area.\u00a0 It\u2019s surrounded with very exclusive apartments.\u00a0 We hop off and walk through the Stanley Market, making a few touristy purchases.\u00a0 Back at the bus we finish the tour and head back to the hotel.\u00a0 It\u2019s been a full day of touring and we\u2019re beat.\u00a0 I go looking for an ATM to get some cash and find a McDonalds.\u00a0 I grab some food for dinner in the room, and we finish the night enjoying the views from our hotel room of the harbor.<\/span><\/p>\n The Stanley Market<\/p><\/div>\n <\/p>\n Stanley restaurant row<\/p><\/div>\n A cemetery near Stanley<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The plan for our first day in Hong Kong is to find \u201cThe Big Bus\u201d, a double-decker tourist bus, designed for hop-on \/ hop-off sightseeing.\u00a0 There are three routes available for tours.\u00a0 The fee includes 2 days of riding privileges … Continue reading <\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/a> <\/a> <\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<\/a> <\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/a> <\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/a>
