We have our fingers crossed that Judy\u2019s cough stays subdued today.\u00a0 <\/span>She had a decent night of sleeping, but still has the occasional convulsive attack.\u00a0 <\/span>Monday is now her heaviest day, and she doesn’t have time for a coughing fit.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

I stayed really busy. \u00a0<\/span>Leaving the apt. at 11:00 am, I walked to the police station (1 mile) to register my return to China from my US trip.\u00a0 <\/span>There was no line, and I was in and out with my new Temporary Residence Permit in 3 minutes.\u00a0 <\/span>Then I walked to the nearby subway station, and traveled to Sanlitun.\u00a0 <\/span>I was looking for printer ink, and swim goggles (I\u2019ve lost mine since Saturday?).\u00a0 <\/span>Didn\u2019t find any goggles.\u00a0 <\/span>I end up having to buy some over-priced ones at the pool.\u00a0 <\/span>I ate lunch at Cantina Agave (beef burrito), and then walked back to the train.\u00a0 <\/span>Next, I traveled to the Marriott for my swim session, and then walked down Tianze Lu (the street with all the embassies) to the shop where I get my hair cut.<\/p>\n

I was worried about this haircut.\u00a0 <\/span>When I called to schedule an appointment with Suky, my regular stylist, they indicated he no longer worked there.\u00a0 <\/span>They scheduled me with another stylist.\u00a0 <\/span>Since language is an issue, and I was really satisfied with the haircuts I had been getting with Suky, it\u2019s scary switching to someone else.\u00a0 <\/span>The techniques he used to cut my hair were different (different scissors, etc.).\u00a0 <\/span>He seemed to be cutting it a too short.\u00a0 <\/span>When he finished, it was definitely shorter, but the look was basically the same, and I like it.\u00a0 <\/span>We\u2019ll see what happens when I try to \u201ctame\u201d it tomorrow.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I walked to the train afterwards, heading home.\u00a0 <\/span>Back at the apartment, I decide to go out looking for lemons for Judy\u2019s cough treatment (honey & lemon).\u00a0 <\/span>I\u2019ve seen some neighborhood \u201cwet markets\u201d.\u00a0 <\/span>Time to check them out.\u00a0 <\/span>I find a small indoor market, and purchased the needed lemons.\u00a0 <\/span>It\u2019s in the same building as the neighborhood spa, and after all today\u2019s walking, I stopped in for a foot massage.\u00a0 <\/span>I\u2019m posting links to a couple of dimly lit videos demonstrating cupping, and then the use of rubber mallets on my legs.\u00a0 <\/span>If I start posting many of these videos or photos of my feet, I\u2019m going to have to get a pedicure.<\/p>\n
