Judy takes off for school on time, not too excited about the day.\u00a0 There\u2019s a\u00a0 \u201cTreasure Hunt\u201d scheduled for the afternoon with all the staff, split into teams, looking for artifacts in a Chinese neighborhood.\u00a0 It\u2019s supposed to be hot, and rainy.\u00a0 She would be much happier if she could get some more classroom work completed.<\/p>\n

She texts me around noon that the day has been great, and she\u2019s accomplished a lot in her room.\u00a0 When I talk to her around 4:00, she\u2019s had a blast!\u00a0 They visited a traditional Hutong (neighborhood).\u00a0 She\u2019s seen one of her group members eat a deep-fried insect, visited some unique shops, and had some great food.\u00a0 Now I\u2019m jealous!\u00a0 We\u2019re definitely going back to this spot soon.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve spent most of the day writing the entries for the website.\u00a0 We\u2019ve been so busy trying to get life normal, there hasn\u2019t been time to sit down and write.\u00a0 I\u2019ve had time today, so I\u2019m catching up.\u00a0 I hope to get some pictures posted also.<\/p>\n

I have also figured out how to get HULU going on our computers.\u00a0 Hulu doesn\u2019t stream outside the US.\u00a0 I managed to set-up a VPN (virtual private network) which makes it seem like we\u2019re getting our internet in Los Angeles.\u00a0 Now we can get almost any television show we want.\u00a0 By using our Apple TV we can watch it on the flat-screen in the living room.\u00a0 China also doesn\u2019t allow Facebook or Skype and the VPN has allowed us begin to check in on those sites.\u00a0 If we could just get a faster internet signal, we\u2019d be in great shape.\u00a0 We finish up the evening catching up on 2 episodes of \u201cTouch\u201d, before crashing into the pillows.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
