Although yesterday was actually Judy\u2019s birthday, we\u2019re celebrating her 60th<\/sup><\/span><\/b> today.\u00a0 <\/span>We meet Shannon and Dom at the UHN gate, and hail a cab.\u00a0 <\/span>I have the driver take us by the bakery so I can get the cake I ordered on Thursday.\u00a0 <\/span>After getting the cake, we head to Tim\u2019s Texas BBQ, arriving right on time at noon.<\/p>\n

Ready to celebrated Judy’s 60th Birthday!!!!<\/p><\/div>\n

They have a table reserved for us, and we ordered stuffed jalapenos, potato skins, and chips and salsa while we wait for Alexis to arrive.\u00a0 <\/span>Alexis eventually arrives after a taxi detour, and we order food.\u00a0 <\/span>I order my standard \u201cBorder Burger\u201d which includes a green chili pepper.\u00a0 <\/span>Judy and Shannon and Alexis order tacos, and Dom gets chalupas.\u00a0 <\/span>The Tex-Mex is really good here.\u00a0 <\/span>We had a fun afternoon of food and trading stories.<\/p>\n

They set the cake up for me with candles (six, one for each decade), and brought it out while playing a recording of Happy Birthday.\u00a0 <\/span>It was a chocolate yogurt cake and really good.\u00a0 <\/span>We enjoyed the cake, and eventually left around 3:30.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

Everyone else jumped in a taxi and headed back.\u00a0 <\/span>I grabbed another taxi and went to my appointment at the Hong Kong medical clinic.\u00a0 <\/span>I actually scheduled it after we arrived at the restaurant.\u00a0 <\/span>I decided to get my ear checked out.\u00a0 <\/span>I could still feel something blocking my right ear.\u00a0 <\/span>The cost is really low, and there\u2019s no sense waiting for bigger issues, just because I was stubborn or lazy<\/p>\n

I walked in at 4:00, signed their paperwork, and was ushered to the room where the doctor was waiting.\u00a0 <\/span>I told him the problem, he scoped it, and decided to try and \u201cvacuum\u201d it out.\u00a0 <\/span>There was a little pain, and I really didn\u2019t gain much relief.\u00a0 <\/span>He indicated there was minor swelling, and prescribed some ear drops.\u00a0 <\/span>I walked out at 4:20 with two bottles of eardrops, and was told there would no charge for the visit or the drops.\u00a0 <\/span>The taxi ride home took longer than my doctor visit.<\/p>\n

Back at the apartment, we finished off the leftover cake we brought home, and watched several episodes of \u201cGrey\u2019s Anatomy\u201d.\u00a0 <\/span>Judy prepped for her week ahead.\u00a0 <\/span>I got myself ready for an early trip back to Tim\u2019s Texas BBQ for a Super Bowl Party.\u00a0 <\/span>They told me they we\u2019re expecting a sell-out, with guests showing up beginning at 5:30 am?\u00a0 <\/span>They\u2019re serving a breakfast buffet beginning at 6:30 am, and the game begins at 7:30.\u00a0 <\/span>This should be an experience, Beijing Super Bowl!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
