<\/a><\/p>\nAs Judy and I settled in at Caf\u00e9 al Bacio this morning, I could see land on our starboard side, and was reminded what the captain had said about passing through the narrows of Aden.\u00a0Somalia is off our starboard and Yemen is in view off port as we pass headed south.\u00a0 The Red Sea doesn\u2019t look that big on a map, but we\u2019ve been sailing over two days from Aqaba, and are just now getting to the Gulf of Aden.\u00a0Like many other things I\u2019ve experienced in the last few years, I never thought I would be here.\u00a0 Unreal!<\/p>\n
Had a message today from the Excursions Office that our short trip Sunday in Abu Dhabi for \u201cHigh Tea at Jumeirah\u201d has been cancelled (not enough guests).\u00a0 They gave us an option for another excursion at a 10% discount, so I jumped on it.\u00a0 Now, Saturday, when we first arrive, we\u2019re going to visit the Grand Mosque at night, then have dinner at the Emirates Palace.\u00a0 This is a nice substitute.\u00a0 We\u2019ll get a short visit in Abu Dhabi at night, before our bigger tour during the day on Monday.\u00a0 Depending on how we feel on Sunday, we could always take the Hop-On Hop-off Bus and get a wider experience of the city.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" My sea day routine is settling in.\u00a0 Enjoying the early breakfast, then tea\/coffee in Caf\u00e9 al Bacio, followed by table tennis.\u00a0Had a burger for lunch and time in the room to work on loading pictures to the blog (can\u2019t wait … Continue reading <\/a>Somalia off our starboard side<\/p>\n<\/a>Yemen in the distance off port side<\/p>\n
