There\u2019s not really much new happening today.\u00a0 We wander around between our food favorites and reading relaxation spots.\u00a0 I managed to get in a little table tennis, both morning and afternoon.\u00a0 I\u2019m still obsessed with trying to get the blog posting issues resolved.<\/p>\n
Things get faster as the day wears on.\u00a0 I finally completed posts and pictures up to Petra right before bedtime.\u00a0 It involved posting a lot of pictures, requiring all kinds of resizing, etc., and then they still loaded slowly.\u00a0 I know you\u2019re reading this not understanding \u201cwhat\u2019s the big deal\u201d.\u00a0 Sorry about my obsession, but the time gaps between \u201cliving it\u201d, \u201cwriting it\u201d, and \u201cposting it\u201d are too wide for comfort.\u00a0 I need to be able to tour, write, and post in one day for this to work.\u00a0After Petra, I\u2019ve got all five sea days written and ready to post, and there aren\u2019t many pictures, so they\u2019ll go quick.\u00a0 But Petra and Wadi Rum need pictures.<\/p>\n
We had determined we needed turkey, dressing, and pumpkin pie to make this day right.\u00a0 Without family, all you\u2019ve got is food, and without the food, you\u2019ve got nothing.\u00a0 Blu isn\u2019t serving turkey tonight, so we made reservations in the main dining room, San Marco.\u00a0 We were seated at a large circular table with 7 other guests (five from the US, and two from Belgium).\u00a0 As usual, the more everyone talked, the more we realized what seasoned travelers they all were. \u00a0We\u2019re like rookies in this group.<\/p>\n
The turkey was good.\u00a0The dressing was good, but a far cry from what we love.\u00a0 The best part of the dinner was the pumpkin pie.\u00a0 It was memorable!\u00a0 We spent some time in Caf\u00e9 al Bacio, people-watching and trying some new tea flavors.\u00a0 When we headed to bed, I realized that the early NFL game is on.\u00a0 Maybe the Cowboys will be on later (as if I\u2019ll be able to stay awake).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
