It\u2019s a workday for me! \u00a0Today is the make-up day for the Friday holiday, as designated by the Chinese government.\u00a0 My two classes begin at 9:50, so I head to the train around 8:00.\u00a0\u00a0 Everything goes smoothly and I\u2019m in the doors of BHSFIC at 9:00 am.\u00a0 Classes go well.\u00a0 When I mentioned I\u2019d been to Korea, one of the students asked if I was in the South or the North.\u00a0 Laughs all around!\u00a0 We\u2019re starting off each class with rhythmic reading and the students are beginning to get the hang of it.<\/p>\n
Judy is visiting IKEA today, looking for clocks, rugs, and lamps.\u00a0 When I get home, she\u2019s had a successful trip.\u00a0 She got in and out easily before all the crowds hit.\u00a0 She\u2019s moving stuff all over the apartment, arranging places for the new purchases.<\/p>\n
As soon as she finishes, we walk the mile to Metro.\u00a0 It\u2019s time for a few groceries.\u00a0 For the first time, we notice some sports outlet stores in the same building.\u00a0 There\u2019s a Nike Store, Adidas, and several others.\u00a0\u00a0 We continue our shopping excursion in Metro, buying groceries, and just generally wandering around the store.\u00a0 Like many of the other stores, I\u2019ve been in them a lot, but Judy hasn\u2019t been near them since our first visits two months ago.<\/p>\n
When we get back to the apartment, everything gets put away, and we begin to plan for the week.\u00a0 We have to register at the police station again, since we left China on our trip.\u00a0 Judy has a big week of travel coming up with \u201cBISS on the Road\u201d.\u00a0 You\u2019ll get more info as the week rolls along.\u00a0 I have teaching days on Thursday, Friday, and Sunday (another make-up day).\u00a0 Man, I\u2019m really having to work this week.\u00a0 Also, my clubs meet this week.\u00a0 I\u2019ll get to meet my groups and plan our year ahead.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
