A fun day of banking issues lies ahead.\u00a0 I woke up early, concerned about the wire transfer progress.\u00a0 I can\u2019t access my online account.\u00a0 GREAT!!!!\u00a0 There\u2019s a note when I try to login saying the account has been suspended, and lists a phone number to call.\u00a0 Since it costs a \u201cton of money\u201d to have an international calling plan, I can\u2019t call anybody in the US with my phone.\u00a0 I \u201cFacetime\u201d Courtney, and she\u2019s a huge help.<\/p>\n

She makes the call to the bank, holding her phone up to me (on the computer), so I can hear and be heard.\u00a0 We\u2019re a really high tech operation.\u00a0 After much explanation and answering of questions, the account suspension is withdrawn, and I\u2019m able to set up the wire transfer for a 3rd<\/sup> time (it\u2019s been rejected twice prior).\u00a0 Now I get to wait patiently to see if it\u2019s rejected for a third time.<\/p>\n

Judy\u2019s out traveling with the 6th<\/sup> graders on \u201cBISS on the Road, Day 2\u201d.\u00a0 It\u2019s day 2 for her, but day 4 for the group.\u00a0 After she had so much fun yesterday, she\u2019s excited to see what today\u2019s travel will bring.\u00a0 They are taken to a very large courtyard area next to the \u201cForbidden City\u201d, and the student\u2019s get a chance to take Kung-Fu lessons from a master teacher.\u00a0 They also take a calligraphy lesson from a famous teacher.\u00a0\u00a0 They travel to a culinary school and learn how to make dumplings.\u00a0 She\u2019s seen and done so many different things when they\u2019re out like this, I\u2019m jealous.\u00a0 She\u2019s making a lists of sites for us to visit together.<\/p>\n

Normally, Thursday would be a teaching day for me, but my afternoon classes have been cancelled so the 11th<\/sup> graders can take an assessment test of some sort.\u00a0 I go to school any way to get some copying done for the \u201corchestra\u201d class on Sunday.\u00a0 Sunday will be another make-up day.\u00a0 This time it will be the makeup for the Thursday we missed last week.\u00a0 I also have the Guitar Club after lunch today.\u00a0 I\u2019m trying to figure out how to print to one of the campus printers.\u00a0 Ink is too expensive and hard to find for more me to print on our home printer.\u00a0 I end up copying the material to a USB thumb drive, loading it into a school computer, and printing it.\u00a0 I still don\u2019t have my own room yet.\u00a0 I\u2019m told I\u2019ll have it after the upcoming National Day holiday.\u00a0 The classroom I have is OK, but I don\u2019t have anywhere to store stuff.\u00a0 Everything I use must be carried back and forth from the apartment in a backpack.\u00a0 I\u2019ve got a great backpack, but it\u2019s really heavy some days.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
