I mostly fiddle around with my computer, trying to figure out how to expand an instrumental quartet into an arrangement for the BHSFIC \u201corchestra\u201d.\u00a0 I\u2019ve got \u201cFinale\u201d, and \u201cPhotoscore\u201d, two programs that should make it easier, if I can figure them out.\u00a0 Theoretically, I should be able to import a PDF copy of the music I want to use into Photoscore.\u00a0 Out of Photoscore, I can save it to a file that Finale can read.\u00a0 After I upload that new file into Finale, I should be able to make a score, transpose and copy parts, and get them ready to pass out to the students.\u00a0 This should keep me from having to manually write out 10 different parts.<\/p>\n
Late in the afternoon, I decide to walk over to Metro for our weekly Diet Coke cache.\u00a0 It\u2019s really cheap and it\u2019s a 2-liter 12-pack.\u00a0 Metro also has grated cheese, and tortillas (Mission brand).\u00a0 When I\u2019m eating at home, I love my comfort foods.\u00a0 When I get home, we cook up some chicken breasts, and make chicken\/vegetable soup.\u00a0 It\u2019s great!!!!\u00a0 We enjoy it while we watch the BBC \u201cSherlock Holmes\u201d on Hulu.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
