It\u2019s business as usual for BISS.\u00a0 The school is back into \u201cregular\u201d mode after all the stress of the accreditation visit last week.\u00a0 Now Judy has begun to worry about how much work has to be done before the end of the semester.\u00a0 It\u2019s only six weeks away!\u00a0 One of the \u201cnew\u201d staff members has begun to organize a \u201c100\u201d day celebration, marking the fact that we\u2019ve been in China for 100 days.\u00a0 It\u2019s hard to believe we\u2019ve been here that long!<\/span><\/p>\n THURSDAY, 10\/31\/13<\/b><\/p>\n It\u2019s school for me today.\u00a0 As I walk out of the apartment complex headed for the train, I see a few young kids, surrounded by photographers, posing for pictures in their Halloween costumes.\u00a0 There are several spots around town decorated for Halloween (the mall, especially).\u00a0 We\u2019ve seen costumes for sale in some of the stores.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Some kids posing for pictures in their costumes. Check out the photography team, in the orange fleece tops.<\/p><\/div>\n At BHSFIC, all the 10th<\/sup> graders are off campus, involved in a team-building activity.\u00a0 My 11th<\/sup> graders will be in class, but the school is really quiet.\u00a0 I slowly realize that my clubs won\u2019t meet today.\u00a0 I\u2019m glad I didn\u2019t spend too much prep time getting ready.\u00a0 I get home early, ahead of the train \u201crush hour\u201d.\u00a0 Since the 11th<\/sup> graders are off campus tomorrow, doing a ropes-course team building activity, I won\u2019t have classes.\u00a0 I\u2019m treating tonight like a Friday night, living life on the \u201cwild side\u201d.\u00a0 I\u2019m planning to stay up late (probably till 9:30).<\/p>\n Judy doesn\u2019t have the luxury of a Friday off, so she arrives home planning to work.\u00a0 However, fatigue sets in after dinner, and she dozes off during our \u201cWest Wing\u201d episode.\u00a0 She gives up and heads off to \u201cslumber land\u201d.\u00a0 When did we get old?<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" WEDNESDAY, 10\/30\/13 I woke up this morning wondering if I\u2019d be able to move after all the golf course walking of the past two days.\u00a0 The stiffness was not as bad as expected, so I was able to take care … Continue reading ![\"Halloween3\"](\"http:\/\/gordonandjudy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Halloween3.jpg\")
