No excitement for either of us today.\u00a0 I teach my classes, eat lunch, meet with the guitar club, and catch the train home.\u00a0 I would enjoy longer visits with the faculty during our lunch break, but guitar club meets at lunch both days I\u2019m on campus.\u00a0 I have to get my gossip from everyone in a hurry.<\/p>\n
Judy\u2019s classes are busy, and she finishes off every Friday with rehearsals for \u201cAnnie\u201d after school.\u00a0 It makes for a very long day. \u00a0There is one piece of depressing news relating to the musical.\u00a0 Kelly, the drama teacher, is not going to be able to return to BISS after the Christmas break.\u00a0 She\u2019s from New Zealand (more specifically, Tasmania).\u00a0 She left her home school with sabbatical leave for a year, and was told she would be able to renew it in 6-month increments.\u00a0 She renewed it for one 6-month segment, but has now been told it will not be renewed.\u00a0 Since the Australian\/New Zealand schools begin their school year in January, she must be back at her home school in Tasmania after the break.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n She had been hoping for an appeal to be approved so she could finish the year in China.\u00a0 However, the word was finalized today.\u00a0 She\u2019s gone after Christmas break.\u00a0 She\u2019s been great to work with, and will be missed.\u00a0 Now, someone\u2019s going to have to pick up the load in her absence and Judy senses that everyone is looking in her direction.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" No excitement for either of us today.\u00a0 I teach my classes, eat lunch, meet with the guitar club, and catch the train home.\u00a0 I would enjoy longer visits with the faculty during our lunch break, but guitar club meets at … Continue reading
