Judy has her usual busy day at BISS.\u00a0 She spends a little time teaching her students, but much of the day is spent skulking her next \u201cClue\u201d target.\u00a0 No success today, but she has developed a plan for tomorrow.\u00a0 She finishes up the day with an \u201cAnnie\u201d rehearsal.\u00a0 The rehearsal is normally on Friday afternoon, but tomorrow is a \u201cProfessional Development\u201d day.\u00a0 No students.<\/p>\n
I head off to BHSFIC.\u00a0 I\u2019m excited because today, I\u2019ll actually have a meeting of the \u201cOrchestra Club\u201d.\u00a0 I arrive, sign in, and head over to the staff lunchroom for a quick lunch before \u201cGuitar Club\u201d.\u00a0 After \u201cGuitar Club\u201d, I start setting up my classroom.\u00a0 Some speakers elsewhere in the school have quit working, so the speakers in my room regularly \u201cwalk off\u201d.\u00a0 After I get set-up, I walk across the street for my regular BHSFIC Starbucks stop.\u00a0 With my caffeine \u201cstores\u201d built up, I teach my two classes, and then move upstairs for \u201cOrchestra Club\u201d.\u00a0 Several of the students stop by and let me know they have other club meetings today, or appointments, etc.\u00a0 So we\u2019re back to 7 students.\u00a0 I begin to adjust my lesson plan.\u00a0 I\u2019ve got some great musicians, but it\u2019s really tough to put it together if we don\u2019t meet.\u00a0 Today was our first meeting in 3 weeks.\u00a0 The students are great, but it seems to be \u201cbaby steps\u201d some weeks.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Judy has her usual busy day at BISS.\u00a0 She spends a little time teaching her students, but much of the day is spent skulking her next \u201cClue\u201d target.\u00a0 No success today, but she has developed a plan for tomorrow.\u00a0 She … Continue reading
