Not much to talk about today.\u00a0 It could be considered boring, compared to many of the days we\u2019ve experienced here.\u00a0 Judy\u2019s activities at school are humming along.\u00a0 Each Friday, on a rotating schedule, one of the elementary grades (grade 1, grade 2, etc.) has the responsibility of organizing an assembly.\u00a0 They are supposed to be showing, through video and other means, the areas of study they\u2019ve been working on.\u00a0 It always includes a song or two, and the teachers usually ask Judy for a little help preparing their music.<\/p>\n
She enjoys helping the teachers.\u00a0 The only problem she has is the quality of the songs they select.\u00a0 The teachers are looking for music specific to their assembly focus, and many times, the songs are terrible.\u00a0 Bad lyrics are forced on top of a bad melody, with an even worse accompaniment (or they ask her to make up an accompaniment).\u00a0 Many times, she\u2019s convinced she could find better music that would meet the subject area demands.\u00a0 She\u2019ll get the message to them eventually, but she doesn\u2019t currently have the heart to tell them how bad their selection is.\u00a0 A few more bad songs, and I think she\u2019s going to find \u201cthe heart\u201d the tell them.<\/span><\/p>\n I just worked on our finances a little, and did some class planning.\u00a0 When Lily showed up to clean around 2:00, I walked over to Metro to do some grocery shopping.\u00a0 BORING!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Not much to talk about today.\u00a0 It could be considered boring, compared to many of the days we\u2019ve experienced here.\u00a0 Judy\u2019s activities at school are humming along.\u00a0 Each Friday, on a rotating schedule, one of the elementary grades (grade 1, … Continue reading
